The advent of the Internet and other mediums of communication has brought with
it the opportunity for almost-instant publication and interaction.  A type of e-
rhetoric, so to speak.  The net gain, of course, is that more people, both legal
professionals and the lay public, can become informed about, react to, and
comment on the American criminal justice system.  However, just above the
“buzz” of the story, or case, a cynical and sometimes angry and reactive noise
can emerge and hover.  In the ongoing effort to provide the most current and
cutting-edge information, nuance can sometimes be lost.

My goal is to bring ‘more light than heat’ to the stories that interest my audience.

Thanks for visiting my website.  Please check back often.  Like news stories, the
law and the political sphere that surrounds both, it is always evolving.
"A government which robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the
support of Paul."
- George Bernard Shaw

“Our Constitution was not written in the sands to be washed away by each
wave of new judges blown in by each successive political wind.”
- Hugo Black, Associate Justice, U.S. Supreme Court

“Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the
citizens. They fall, when the wise are banished from the public councils,
because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded, because
they flatter the people in order to betray them.”
- Joseph Story, Associate Justice, U.S. Supreme Court
